50. Montag had Faber turn the sprinklers and air conditioner on because he wanted to get rid of scent to break the trail.
51. What Montag meant by Twenty Million Montag’s running, is that if all of the people in the city looked outside they would be as helpful as 20 million cameras, so he had to run fast.
52. The search for Montag veered inland because that is the direction the hound went after loosing Montag’s trail.
53. The person who died in Montag’s place was an innocent man who had to die so the police would not look stupid.
54. What Granger meant when he said welcome back from the dead was supposed to mean that Montag is supposed to be dead but he is alive and now freed from bad records.
55. Why incriminating evidence is not found on Granger and the others is that they are bums not on record.
56. I do have a sense that there are other book chapters in other towns because Granger said he had a chapter of a book and another chapter of the book was in a town in Maine.
57. I really don’t know what was meant by this quote from Granger because Montag is something, I mean you can’t be nothing unless you are dead, But Montag is supposed to be dead, so I think this is where he got that he is nothing. He wants Montag to not be noticed or get attention.
58. One of the very first events in the last pages is the bombing and the men scarred to death clawing at the floor and yelling. They think they are going to die but they are lucky. Then there was a fruit tree that resembled the fruit as survivors and the leaves as Montag and his friends as the people will rebuild and regain control.

“I wonder if they are the ones who killed Clarisse.” Pg.128
Well this is hard to decide. I mean if you see a couple crazy people it does not mean that they are the reason for someone you knew being killed. Montag overreacted when this happened because there is more than a few crazy teenagers in cars. The worst thing for Montag to have done is chase the kids down and question them.
1 March 2008
Why would Montag put books in someone else’s house so it could be burnt down? Pg.130
I guess Montag did not really, as if the Black’s and didn’t want to be alone on being a bad fireman. However, to do something as rotten as Montag just did, he deserves to go to jail and rot. He not only murdered people himself, but is making the firemen murder for him. As of now, my perspective on Montag has changed. I don’t like him anymore.
3 March 2008
Why are they burning all the stuff Montag touched? Pg.135
The reason why they are burning everything Montag touched was because they want to get rid of Montags scent. The Mechanical Hound can hold ten thousand different smells and Montag is on the top of the list. Therefore, it would be very important for the two to destroy all of his scent. Hopefully it works.
3 March 2008
Why does everyone open there doors? Pg.139
Why the government has on the TV explaining the plan to catch Montag is very clever, but easy to fail. If it is late at night and people are scared and sleeping no one will bother to try this. However if everyone did do this Montag probably would have been caught. Montag got lucky this time.
4 March 2008
Why aren’t the men scarred of Montag? Pg.147
The reason why the men have no fear for Montag is that the men probably see good in him. Montag just got carried away too much and the men realize this. The men said told him that they knew that he would be harmless and friendly and he was. So I think these men are excepting him even though he has done some horrible stuff.
4 March 2008
Why are police accusing the innocent man for Montag? Pg.149
Why the police killed they innocent man is because they lost Montag’s trail. The police did not want to admit they failed so they had to kill someone. I guess that this is just one of those things the government has to do in order to stay in control of the people. This is very cruel and mean though, I hope the man in charge is very ashamed in himself.
5 March 2008
Word of mouth book passing. Pg.153
I really do not think that this will last long. It is so stupid, it is not like the book is a sort story. How could someone possibly memorize that much stuff. All of the details and all of the foreshadowing. I do not think that this would ever work unless they actually copied the book word for word.
5 March 2008
Welcome back from the dead. Question
When Granger says this, I totally understand what he is trying to say. He has been kill to all of the people in the town, so it is as if he is gone. So as of now Montag was just sort of freed. The police didn’t want to admit their hound is not smart so they set up a guy and kill him. It is just as simple as that.
6 March 2008
The city fell down dead. Pg.160
What that is being described here is that the city is coming to a end. Bombs are striking everywhere and the city is crumbling down like dominoes. Before people have the chance to realize what is even happening they are dead, gone, demolished. The war was started and the war was ended in a split second.
6 March 2008
What does Montag mean that this the one he will save for the city? Pg.165
What Montag is trying to say is that they will have to give a lot of help to make the city built up again and grow. The living fruit resembles the people still alive and the leaves resemble Montag and his friends, helping the people that have been injured. So after all Montag is a good person.

Does Montag want to read the Bible? Pg.76
Montag has stolen a giggle and he thinks tha5 it is the las5 copy left. Montag wants to make a copy of it because Beatty knows he has it. Montag is going to read it and wants to memorize it just in case he does not get away with making a copy of it. More likely Montag will give the book back to Beatty.
22 February 2008
“Nobody listens anymore.” Pg.82
Montag is right. We can even see this in Mildred. Nobody seems to be in the write place. They are very strange, and it seems to mean, the books being outlawed causes these people to be ignorant. I do not understand why they would cause these people to have no education. That is crazy!
23 February 2008
Why is Montag tearing the book? Pg.88
Montag is tearing the book because it is the only way to get Fabers attention to help him copy the Bible. It is a sort of torture for Faber to see this since he knows what is in the Bible. Montag probably not have done that to the word of God, especially since it was the last one.
23 February 2008
The hearing device of Faber’s. Pg.91
Faber has made a hearing device that works through Montags mind. I do not understand or know much about it, but what it is, is a spy gadget. It is an invasion of privacy and Faber can get in huge trouble with it. Faber is a strange man, who is a coward with nothing else better to do.

Why do the women think their husbands will not die? Pg. 94
These women are ignorant to not care much for their husbands in a war. You always have a chance of dieing at war. Even car wrecks sometimes happen. Nothing to do with the war could kill you. Then they say if their husband dies, they will marry again. That is so lazy. They just want money.
25 February 2008
They talk about kids like clothes. Pg.96
These women have no sympathy for kids at all. They spend no time with them and when they do, it is not social. They do not see them all day and only 3 times a month. What is the point of their kids if they are nothing to there life. I mean they care more about there clothes than their kids. This makes me want to hit that woman, but I cannot, because she is a girl.
26 February 2008
Why would Montag read Poetry to the women? Pg.100
Because Montag sees that these women are very ignorant he wants to show them the actuality to life, and for him to do this it was a bad idea. Montag has to understand reading illegal books is not for everybody. Some people follow the rules and are not the type to want to take the risk of dying. I would follow the rules too but I would always be curious.
26 February 2008
“Silly women….” Pg.103
It is as if they cannot stop leaving the women alone. They are always taking down on them and making them feel bad. Just because they cannot handle the tension of breaking the law like Montag and Faber can, they have to understand women are not like men. Women have too many feelings and cannot handle to much pressure and they sort of just crack.
27 February 2008
Montag continuously washes his hands. Pg.105
During the poker game Montag keeps on washing his hands over and over. It is as if Montag feels as if it as easy as washing his hands to get rid of his sins but it is harder than that. Beatty can see this in Montag and tries to make him even more nervous, and it works. He cracks Montag under the pressure.
27 February 2008
Why did Beatty drive to Montags house? Pg.110
The reason why that Beatty drove the salamander to Montags house is to burn it. Montag’s house got a call from several people and Beatty has ignored it until Montag came by. Therefore, Montag could go with them to ruin his life. I find this kind of mean and cruel in a way because he has to do it himself.
28 February 2008
Why does Montag burn down his own house?
Montag burns down his own house because he fells as if he as to put a end to his own madness. He realizes he was out of control and because a lot of harm to the people around him. Not only pain for his wife, but to her friends. He realized that books actually could drive people mad.
28 February 2008
Why does Montag kill Beatty?
Montag kills Beatty because he causes a lot of pain for Montag and his wife Mildred. Montag has gone crazy with all of the pressure from Beatty. Beatty drops by at ridicules hours and scares Montag. Then with the hound always snooping around Montag realizes that some one has caught on to him.
29 February 2008
Why is Montags leg burnt? Pg. 121
Montags leg is burnt because the mechanical hound was attacking Montag. Montag probably would have lost his leg anyways, but he knew if he didn’t burn it, it would kill him. I feel sorry for Montag because he destroyed his own leg. I bet Montag wishes he never would have done that.
29 February 2008
Why is Montag talking to himself? Pg.123
Montag is talking to himself because he is sort of like encouraging himself. At this point Montag is mad at his leg and blaming it for all of his troubles. This is sad because Montag put his own entire problems wide out in the open for others to see. He ruined his life with mistakes that he could have avoided.
